Where home becomes art.

Meet the Founder

I’m Kelly Brucher—artist at heart, mom to Marvel and Dash, and the daughter of an architect and a lifelong maker who showed me early on that creativity is a way of life. I studied interior design at the University of Kansas and spent 11 years crafting high-end commercial interiors with Herman Miller in San Diego. My work with JE Dunn Construction further shapes my approach, grounding my design sensibility in function, buildability, and real-world living.

Who We Are

  • We see interior design as a form of storytelling. Each home is thoughtfully layered with color, texture, art, and furnishings that reflect the people who live there. Our spaces feel collected rather than styled—elevated, timeless, and meant to be lived in.

Our process is collaborative and relaxed, starting with listening. We design with real life in mind—homes that support everyday routines, family moments, creativity, and connection. Spaces that feel as good as they look.

  • Art as Expression
We believe art belongs in everyday life. Whether it’s a painting, a handmade object, or a thoughtfully styled space, art brings confidence, curiosity, and joy into the home.

    Home as a Haven
A home should feel grounding, warm, and personal. We design spaces that offer comfort without sacrificing beauty—homes meant to be lived in, not just looked at.

    Story Over Trends
We value timeless design over fleeting trends. Each project is guided by your story, your memories, and your future—not what’s currently “in.”

    Family & Community
Homes are where families grow and communities are built. Our work honors the lives lived inside each space and the connections they foster.

    Intention in Every Detail
From color choices to furniture placement, we believe thoughtful details create lasting impact. Nothing is accidental; everything has a purpose.

  • Haven & Hue was born from a lifelong instinct to see the potential in everyday spaces. My creative roots began with art—painting, ceramics, and watercolor—and naturally evolved into interior design through formal training and years of professional experience.

I believe beautiful homes don’t require moving walls or unlimited budgets. Instead, the most meaningful transformations come from working within the existing structure—thoughtful furniture planning, refined color palettes, and intentional layering that elevates how a space functions and feels.

My work focuses on furniture-driven layouts, organization, and livability, with a love for rugs, textiles, plants, artwork, and carefully chosen accessories that bring warmth and character to a home.

At its heart, Haven & Hue exists to help people see their homes differently—not just as places they live, but as personal works of art that evolve alongside them.

Haven & Hue is a residential interior design studio where home becomes art—layering color, texture, and meaningful pieces to create spaces that reflect your life, your family, and your story.
